Angry Legendary defender of Ascalon Glitch

Well I killed a lvl 20 foe with my lvl 19 and 82% to my next level and my LDoA title and my % Stayed the same!!! I stayed 82% WHAT GIVES?? so today again while I was at work, I death leveled a strider to level 20 today and when I got home.. I KILLED IT. I saw 120 XP pop up and guess what.. I am STILL lvl 19 and 82%. I should get 1% a kill so yesterday i though it was rounding up to the next % BUT nope.

My HERO XP bar is the same as the screen bar but my TITLE Bar looks to have moved.

SO WHAT GIVES???

With lvl 19 you need 12,800 exp for level 20 so 120xp are not exactly 1% so it is possible that you are like 0,00001% away from 83%.

And by the way aren't you supposed to accept quest rewards somewhere on level 19?

You are better off checking whether your Exp in the Hero menu is increasing after you D-Level and kill stuff. The exp bar isn't always accurate :P

Simple. 120XP is less than 1% (0.9375% to be exact). Thus you will not always see a difference in the %. Rounding makes it a bit unclear, but that is definitely explanable.

Lets say your percentage reads 50%. This means your XP is somewhere from 49.5% (which rounds up) or 50.49% (which rounds down). If you're right on the lower boundary (let's say 49.5% to make life easy), your percentage is 50%. If you then gain 120XP, you'll end up with 50.4375%, which rounds down. There's only a small window where this can happen, but it's irrelevant. If you saw the +120XP on screen, you got 120XP.

The quest rewards do not get you from 19 to 20. You still need to death level about 30% of the XP.

He said he did it twice.

I wouldnt bother looking at the % towards next level, look in the H window at your total XP. If that doesnt change then uve got an issue. If it does, then its not a problem.

Right I killed 2 foes therefore that is MORE than 1% AND the title bar progression seems to have moved and bar on my screen did not. So.. I am at a loss. its bad so will I ever get this title.

As for the comment on doing quests AFTER yes that is an option if your toon is NOT 4 Years old. 4 years ago this was not a title.

Look at the post above. Record current xp in Hero window. Kill something that awards xp. Does your total xp increase by the expected amount?

Yes. Not a problem, working correctly.
No. Problem, xp is not awarded correctly.

Ignore the title bar.

Don't use striders, use Charr. Just get a gate monkey and you're good to go. You'll always see some sort of progress when using Charr.
